Rellie Sernero, CPA, MBA

Rellie Sernero is a Certified Public Accountant with nearly 12 years in accounting. He began in IT advisory at Reyes Tacandong & Company (RSM Philippines), then moved to the University of the East. In Caloocan he managed the Comptroller's Office. As Assistant Chief Accountant in Manila he supervised the General Accounting, Student Accounts and Payroll sections, prepared the financial statements for the Board of Trustees and the SEC, led the financial statements close process, and was the university's point person during the SGV audit.

For the last six years he has worked remotely for Curv Group, the group behind the DTC brands Statik and KeySmart. He moved from accounting manager into operations and ERP, then into finance automation. He optimized operations, cleaned up receivables and inventory for audit, and helped move the company between accounting systems, serving as NetSuite administrator and Fulfil administrator. At Curv he also learned data analytics and business intelligence reporting, AI-assisted development, and how to get the most out of AI for work efficiency, and he used them to build the tools that keep the numbers right.

Today, through RHS Consultancy, Rellie provides bookkeeping and works as a Fractional Controller for small businesses and ecommerce brands. He also helps Filipino freelancers stay compliant with the BIR, and helps teams find the gaps in their finance process, fix them, and build systems that keep them fixed.
